who we are

GSP Networks, Inc. —

Founded in 2007, GSP Networks is a privately owned telecom contractor built around one mission: delivering complete, cost-effective solutions for every stage of your network. From outside plant and inside plant construction to fiber splicing, testing, and certification, we handle it all—whether it’s a major buildout or a quick-turn project.

Our team brings the people, equipment, and expertise to support the full spectrum of telecom services, including feasibility studies, network design, engineering, permitting, project management, and general contracting. Whatever the size or complexity of your project, we’re focused on giving you the right solution at the right price, backed by responsive, reliable customer service.

GSP has long been a trusted prime contractor across the Midwest, earning a reputation for being honest, capable, and easy to work with. Our growth has been steady and intentionally organic—driven almost entirely by referrals from clients who know we deliver.

Our Team

Dave Bustamante | President & Assistant Sandwich Maker
Dave got a finance degree from Ohio State, then accidentally wandered into telecom and never found the exit. One day he’s splicing fiber in a manhole; the next he’s building budgets that make CFOs nod like it was their idea.

He’s designed and built networks for schools, governments, and data centers. It’s the invisible infrastructure that keeps the world running. His customers get the credit, he gets the satisfaction, and everyone’s happy.

Along the way came American Electric Power, Cinergy Networks, Kentucky Data Link, another (unnamed) construction contractor and a few thousand miles of fiber. Overhead, underground, inside plant, outside plant, all the plants. If it moves data, Dave’s probably had his hands on it.

Spreadsheets? Absolutely. Muddy boots? Also yes. He started GSP because, well, why not? Someone had to.

Josh Miller | VP, Operations
Josh has 30 years of experience in OSP construction and large scale project management, which amounts to a great deal of time running heavy equipment and an even greater number of fiber splices done correctly the first time. He has logged thousands of hours on directional drills, excavators, and aerial line trucks, along with tens of thousands of fusion splices. Enough to make it feel routine, but never casual.

He has worked on multiple FTTH builds across Indiana and Illinois for rural telephone companies, as well as long haul, metro, and small cell construction projects of every variety.

Josh oversees all day to day OSP construction operations, quietly ensuring things run as they should and stepping in only when they do not.

Jacob Self | Director, Operations
Jacob brings more than 15 years in telecom and a calm talent for turning very complicated builds into projects that actually get finished. He has led turn key work end to end, keeping teams aligned, schedules intact, and small problems handled before they grow ambitions.

He has worked across outside plant, inside plant, and DAS, with a particular fondness for fiber construction, installation, splicing, and testing. He understands the technical detail and, more importantly, how to get people, materials, and timelines to behave.

When a project needs structure, momentum, and quiet guidance away from the ditch, Jacob is already on it.

Chris Powell | Manager, Splicing
With more than a decade in telecom, Chris has built a reputation for doing things properly and not needing to be chased. He has handled compliance, splicing, outage response, job management, and leading crews in the field, often all at once.

At GSP Networks, Chris focuses on growing the business by bringing in reliable crews and trusted customers, while ensuring every project is planned, executed, and finished to standard.

If something needs to be built efficiently, safely, and without cutting corners, Chris will see to it and likely without much commentary.

Cole Hardin | Manager, Construction
Cole has spent ten years keeping telecom projects organised, moving, and refreshingly free of drama. He has managed everything from ISP and OSP builds to aerial and underground work, from early planning through final delivery.

A natural problem solver with a sharp eye for detail, Cole balances thoughtful planning with the discipline required to keep scopes, schedules, and teams aligned. When plans drift off course, he is usually the one quietly correcting them.

If a job needs structure without becoming inflexible, Cole ensures it stays sensible.

Brandon Wilson | Construction Supervisor
Brandon learned telecom the traditional way, in the field and from the ground up. With more than a decade of experience, he has handled aerial and underground builds, strand and fiber networks, blowing fiber, outages, and keeping field operations moving when things inevitably get untidy.

He has set poles, operated heavy equipment, led crews, and maintained oversight of budgets, schedules, and resources. Safety and quality are not slogans to him. They are how work gets finished without unpleasant surprises.

From early planning through final splice, Brandon understands construction end to end and makes sure the job is done properly.
